Assessors approve warrants, exemptions in routine January meeting

Northfield assessors approve $376,000 in warrants, 15 tax exemptions at routine January meeting. Board members Robert MacEwen, Alice Lord, and Bethany Walker signed Commitment and Warrant for 2026 #1 totaling $373,485.37 along with earlier 2025 commitments of $2,822.31. The board approved 15 exemption applications totaling $11,727.51 plus $39.76 in Community Preservation Act funds, and one motor vehicle excise abatement of $144.72.

Mayflower Valuations will conduct cyclical inspections in February on properties with pending building permits.
