Board of Library Trustees approves food pantry expansion

Board of Library Trustees · Meeting of March 5, 2026

Northfield's Board of Library Trustees unanimously approved an addendum to the food pantry's memorandum of understanding, allowing the program to house two additional refrigerators and upgrade electrical service in the library basement to serve 75 to 80 families. The library will receive increased electricity donations. Library Director Misha Storm reported February circulation of 4,492 items.

The board advanced three building projects: main floor carpet replacement is complete after discovering asbestos linoleum that will be covered with luxury vinyl flooring; an HVAC project bid is out; and a contract with Renaissance Builders will replace the exterior basement door.
