Northfield Conservation Commission considers land protection costs and dam safety concerns. The Northfield Conservation Commission met February 18 to discuss estimated costs of $6,000 to $10,000 for surveying and preliminary work to place recently donated land adjacent to Hobo Falls under a Conservation Restriction, shared between Mt. Grace Land Trust and the town.

Chair Bill Llewelyn attended remotely. Guest Joe Graveline presented Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Dam Safety Inspection Reports and will draft a letter to First Light expressing the commission's safety concerns regarding the Northfield Mountain Pumped Storage Project's proposed expansion.
