Conservation Commission supports 82-acre open space preservation

Conservation Commission · Meeting of April 15, 2026

Northfield Conservation Commission backs open space preservation deal. Chair Bill Llewelyn and the commission unanimously endorsed a conservation restriction for 82 acres at 757 Old Wendell Road, with a commitment to send an endorsement letter to the Selectboard. The restriction will permanently protect the property for open space, agriculture, and forestry use.

ConsCom also unanimously approved trail accessibility improvements at Alderbrook Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary and scheduled May 20 hearings for a home project and riverbank maintenance work.
