Council on Aging hires new director for June start

NORTHFIELD — Council on Aging transitions directors as budget approves Memory Cafe. Chair Margaret Livingstone reported that the Council's fiscal year budget was approved at Annual Town Meeting, including funding increases for the Senior Tax Work-off program, a new part-time position, and $3,000 annually for the Memory Cafe program. Longtime Director Colleen Letourneau will step down after assisting with a transition through June 25, with new Director Jennifer Reynolds starting June 4.
The board discussed Service Incentive Grant priorities from the Massachusetts Council on Aging, including additional Yoga program funding, day trips, wellness activities, and design software for newsletters.
