Historical Commission backs Centennial House renovation plan

Historical Committee · Meeting of April 13, 2026

Northfield Historical Commission supports Centennial House accessibility renovation. The commission voted to write a letter of support to the Building Inspector endorsing ADA-compliance improvements at 94 Main Street, which will add an accessible bedroom, accessible bathrooms, and a reception area indoors, plus an ADA-compliant ramp and accessible parking outdoors. Rachel Keenan Roberts and Amanda Sanderson of Resilience Center of Franklin County presented the plan.

The bed and breakfast will operate as a for-profit enterprise to fund the non-profit Resilience Center through a separate LLC.
