Northfield Select Board Approves FY27 Budget, Golf Club Permit, and Service Agreements

Northfield Select Board approves FY27 budget totaling $11.3 million in combined spending. The omnibus budget totals $5,173,382, while schools receive $6,139,354, according to the March 31 meeting minutes. The board closed the annual warrant, establishing a $500,000 Capital Stabilization Account funded from free cash and raise-and-appropriate appropriations.
The Finance Committee rejected a $42,000 highway utility vehicle request, instead supporting the shared capital fund approach. The board also approved a seasonal permit for Northfield Golf Club and increased the Council on Aging Work Off program from $1,000 to $1,500.
