Northfield Select Board declares loose dog a nuisance, orders 14-day capture. After a hearing continued from March 24, the board found that Anna, a Great Pyrenees mix running loose for more than a year at Finicky Farm LLC, meets the nuisance definition by excessive barking and running at large. Elspeth Robertson Dubois (operator) and Jesse Robertson Dubois (co-owner) must capture the unvaccinated, unspayed dog within 14 days using a tranquilizer or expert means, then spay, vaccinate, enroll in training, and contain it.
Failure to comply allows the town to capture and bill the owners, with additional daily fines possible. The dog generated more than 70 documented police calls since December 2024.
