Recreation Commission approves counselor hire, plans spring events

Northfield Recreation Commission approves summer counselor hire and winter programs. The commission officially hired Sarah Conaway as a part-time Summer Program Counselor, promoting her from Grade 3 to Step 2 in a unanimous roll call vote, pending Selectboard confirmation. Conaway has held the position for two years as an independent contractor and will focus on Arts and Crafts programming.
The Northfield Winter Weekend will expand with new events including a Tractor Parade, Dodgeball Tournament, and Light Up With Love house decorating contest. The commission also approved a six-week trial Barre class at $25 for spring and set basketball fees at $50.
