NORTHFIELD — The Recreation Commission noted a state-level committee may reshape Massachusetts youth program operations. Director Stacy Bond reported strong fall soccer registration at 25 for Pre-K kindergarten and Mountain Bike Club near capacity, while the Great River Challenge event was in full marketing preparation. Programs including pickleball, yoga-pilates, hiking, Dungeons & Dragons, and pick-up basketball continued; indoor soccer was set to return in November.

The commission discussed possible fall and winter programs and was helping the Northfield Fire Department recruit volunteers for Chief Dunnell's retirement party on September 26.
