Recreation Commission hires summer counselors, targets soccer field upgrades

Northfield Recreation Commission appoints summer counselors, pursues field and pool improvements. The commission unanimously appointed Alexander "Lexi" Sanieski and Sarah LaRocque as summer program counselors at grades 3, steps 1 and 2, with formal appointment scheduled for May 12. Chair Josh Roman and Recreation Director Stacy Bond are gathering quotes for the commission's main goal of improving soccer fields, while the Pool Advisory Group continues exploring community proposals for a town pool.
The April Tag Sale drew 350 more visitors than the April Saturday average for Northfield and 400 above average for Northfield Center, with the Golf Course raising $500 for the commission.
