Northfield Select Board approved revised Blue Wave solar PILOT agreements, reducing annual payments to $12,000 per megawatt direct current from proposed $15,000 rates. Chair Barbara Jacque was authorized to sign separate PILOT agreements with BWC Merriam Brook LLC and BWC Pine Meadow Brook LLC following negotiations involving Assessor Beth Walker and Town Attorney Jeffrey Blake. The Board unanimously approved comprehensive Fire Department job descriptions and Standard Operating Guidelines led by Fire Chief Floyd "Skip" Dunnell and consultant Russ Anderson.
Special permits were granted to Kilowatt Cross (September 26 bicycle event) and All of the Above Trail Fest (August 29) with permit fees waived for both 501(c)(3) nonprofits. The town's FY2025 audit received clean clearance.
