Northfield Select Board approved new Senior Center Activities Assistant position. Senior Center Director Jennifer Reynolds and Council on Aging Chair Meg Livingstone presented a job description for the part-time, non-benefitted position to support meal service and program operations. The Board approved the position as amended, with Chair Barbara Jacque noting terminology should use "older adult" throughout.
David McCarthy was designated to oversee classification of the Grade 4 position. The Board also reviewed Fire Department operations and initiated planning for a leadership transition to be conducted at the next meeting, signed the September 1 Primary Election Warrant, and appointed Melissa King to the Cultural Council and reappointed Donald Baker to the Agricultural Commission.
