Select Board continues nuisance dog hearing to April 21
Select Board · Meeting of March 24, 2026
Northfield Select Board continues hearing on loose livestock guardian dog to April 21. The board voted 4-1 to postpone final decision on a complaint against Anna, a livestock guardian dog owned by Finicky Farm LLC that has been at large since December 2024. Complainant Christiane Shippa testified the dog enters her yard and barks excessively, disrupting her children's sleep.
Animal Control Officer Kyle Dragon reported approximately 20 logged dispatch calls and 40 to 60 unlogged notifications since December. Attorney Jeff Blake determined Anna is a nuisance dog because she is loose and not guarding her herd. ===BRIEF===
