NORTHFIELD — The Northfield Select Board selected HKT Architects to design a new Emergency Medical Services building, choosing from three finalists interviewed September 1. The Board also restructured Fire Department positions: a new Clerk role was classified at grade 5, firefighter positions received new grades and stipends ranging from $200 to $800, and Michael Quinn was appointed Interim Fire Chief through January 31, 2027. Eihmear Arlington was appointed Per Diem Paramedic at $33.26 per hour.
The Board approved payroll and vendor warrants totaling $229,284.70, funding Northfield Elementary School gym floor work and Dickinson Memorial Library HVAC upgrades.
