NORTHFIELD — The Northfield Select Board reorganized its leadership and hired two town officials at its May 12 meeting. Barbara Jacque remains chair, with Bernard Boudreau as vice chair and Shane Duclos as clerk; David McCarthy was absent. The board appointed Rebecca Kolakoski town administrative assistant at $28.47 an hour and Jennifer Reynolds senior center director at $38.02 an hour, replacing retiring director Colleen Letourneau.

Members closed a hearing and voted 4-0 to approve an Eversource pole relocation on Pine Meadow Road, then authorized Jacque to sign two 20-year PILOT agreements with Hopping Ahead LLC worth roughly $59,000 and $90,000 a year. The board also authorized the town administrator to direct the animal control officer to enforce an April 22 nuisance dog order against Finicky Farm LLC, which has appealed to district court. Boudreau said new hire Kolakoski "wasn't flustered with the tough questions."
