Northfield Select Board fills recreation director post, amends fire chief job description. The board unanimously appointed Amanda Zellman as interim Summer Program Director at $23.61 an hour after Gary Conaway's resignation, with Recreation Program Director Stacy Bond saying she was "so impressed" by Zellman's work as the town's t-ball coach. Police Chief Jon Hall briefed the board on Main Street and Millers Falls Road pedestrian safety, leading to a unanimous vote authorizing a letter to state transportation officials and FRCOG.
The board also struck "medical" from a revised Fire Chief job description to separate the role from EMS duties, approved a $104,235.77 payroll warrant and a $276,084.31 vendor warrant, and heard Hannah Augustine of the Northfield Community Action Group present a constitutional-rights resolution signed by town residents. Separately, Northfield secured a $210,305.67 state grant for unpaved-road equipment, including a $100,000 excavator.
